Lara Lyn Carter is an Emmy Award winning television host, chef, cookbook author, and the creator of the Wicker & Whisk product line. Known as the “go-to authority” on Southern entertaining, Lara Lyn is wrapping up her first healthy cookbook “Skinny Southern” with Familius Publishing Company featuring gluten free and refined sugar free twists on Southern classics and more. Lara Lyn is also currently working with 44 Blue Productions out of Los Angeles to develop content around her passion for cooking Southern Food in a healthy way.Lara Lyn and her husband Chris have been married for 23 years and have three sons, Christopher 21, Beau 16, and Dylan 4.
Polo in the Pines Atlanta Polo Brunch Festival is a unique, high-spirited tasting event on a private polo field in Vinings, GA featuring: an exhilarating polo tournament, music, cocktails, a champagne sabering and “stomping of the divots”. Join us to celebrate classic brunch traditions as well as modern takes on culinary classics. Complete with a Bloody Mary Bar, Mimosa station, and more brunch bites that can be imagined, this polo event will be a highlight of the Atlanta social calendar!
The Polo in the Pines Atlanta Polo Brunch Festival 2018 proceeds are dedicated specifically to pediatric brain cancer research at the Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta in honor of our 2018 honoree, Caroline Brewer. Malika Bowling is the author of Culinary Atlanta: Guide to the Best Restaurants, Markets, Breweries and More! and Food Blogging 101. She's also a freelance food and travel writer and Editor at www.roamilicious.com. She's President of the Association of Food Bloggers and has been featured on HGTV and The Huffington Post. With over 1000 published stories, veteran journalist Doc Lawrence is a highly respected observer of travel, cultural tourism, elevated lifestyles, food and dining, the arts, fishing, wines and distilled spirits. He is host and executive producer of Down South Today, a columnist for Design & Build Magazine, Consumer and Health Digest, radio co-host of Southern Ways, a columnist for Flavors and More Magazine (Sarasota, FL) and multiple newspapers and magazines, a contributing editor for ITI Marketing, a contributing writer for Georgia Magazine, Georgia Connector Morris Publications and Collinson Media and founding editor of Wines Down South. His Southern Thymes Shared was co-authored with TV celebrity chef Lara Lyn Carter.
